What’s different?
The enhanced standard water tub design will consist of one piece for the lower portion of the water tub vs the previous design where two pieces are welded together. This enhancement removes the silicone seal and weld process completely to reduce the risk of leaks.
Q: What is different about the redesigned HumidAir™ tub?
A: The redesigned tub is essentially unchanged, except for minor changes to improve the reliability of the tub.
Q: Is there risk for the heater plate to cause damage to my hand or nightstand?
A: No. While the heater plate may feel warm to the touch, it will not burn or cause damage to your hand or nightstand.
Q: How can I distinguish the redesigned tub from the previous one?
A: The redesigned HumidAir tub is essentially unchanged from the previous one. However, the new version can be identified by its round, metal heater plate as opposed to the previous version’s heater plate which covered the entire bottom side.
Q: Does the redesigned tub have the same lifespan as the previous tub?
A: Yes, the tub lifespan is unchanged. All HumidAir standard tubs should be replaced every 6 months.
Q: Does the tub have the new cleaning process?
A: No, cleaning recommendations are unchanged. Please see your User Guide for more information.
Q: Will the cleanable tub be redesigned?
A: The cleanable tub will continue with the previous design. We are exploring options for a redesign of the cleanable tub.
Q: Are the materials the of the tub changed?
A: The shell of the tub is still made from the same polycarbonate plastic. However, the heater plate has been changed from aluminum to stainless steel.
